4.0 out of 5 stars A good collection of case examples to practice, June 15, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wharton MBA Case Interview Study Guide: Volume I (Paperback)
I currently work work for one of the major consulting firms and I have been invoved in many case interviews (both as the interviewee and the interviewer).

I would recommend this book to anyone who is considering entering the management consulting industry and requires additional practice cases. You will find a selection of 15 case studies with proposed solutions. Although I do not agree entirly with all the solutions, I thought the book generally provided realistic examples, with well structured and logical solutions.

One further point, although you can work through the book yourself, I would recommend that you team up with a "buddy" and alternate the role of interviewer /ee. This will stop you from jumping to the answers to soon and enable some feedback about presentation style. The book facilitates this type of role play.

Goodluck !

1.0 out of 5 stars useless, February 25, 2006
This review is from: The Wharton MBA Case Interview Study Guide: Volume I (Paperback)
not worth the money. short, skeletal format with very little new information. much better off buying the marc cosentino book on case studies. its far, far better. this book lacks numbers and solutions to the type of case studies youll be asked and is basically useless.

4.0 out of 5 stars very good, October 21, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wharton MBA Case Interview Study Guide: Volume I (Paperback)
Living up to the Wharton name, this guide is a good step by step walk through several case examples. Also recommended: The Vault Guide to the Case Interview and the Vault Guide to the Top 50 Consulting Firms.
