This review is from: What About My Wood! 101 Sufi Stories (Paperback)
I have ordered at least three copies of this book, and still, I find myself without a copy. Why? The stories are so interesting & filled with meaning on many levels, that whenever a copy falls into my hands, I invariably come across a story that makes me think, "Wow, this is just what so-and-so needs to see right now!" and end up giving it away.

Whether it's a good laugh or deep spiritual advice, you're sure to find what you are looking for in here.

I thank Shaykh Taner and everyone else involved in producing this book, which is a treasure trove! I highly recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Sufi path is Truth and Wisdom with a sense of Humour, January 10, 2009

This review is from: What About My Wood! 101 Sufi Stories (Paperback)
My first introduction to Sufism was through Osho. And I am grateful to find Shaykh Taner Ansari's 101 Sufi Stories bring the message of truth and wisdom into the 21st century. The Sufi tradition at its core is the spiritual tradition that is the connecting line between all that has gone before, all that is, and all that will be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sufi Stories tell Morals and entertain, August 24, 2010

This review is from: What About My Wood! 101 Sufi Stories (Paperback)
Sufis are notorious story tellers. The best way to pass along a moral is not to lecture, but to bury it in a story. The author is a renowned Sufi Sheikh whose stories will make the reader laugh in each small story.

The book is amusing for those who are interested in spirituality, or people who merely like a series of Sufi stories with a moral "gem" of truth.

Sufis are sometimes known as the mystics of Islam, and this book is certainly a Sufi must-read.
