Format: Audio CD
A long-awaited first album by Jamie Hartford, who has been a staple of the local Nashville scene for some time. The band: Electric/acoustic guitars, upright bass, drums, and a rockin' harmonica. Jamie is the son of bluegrass artist John Hartford, but Jamie's "grass" is more down-n-dirty than dad's. His influences are many and his tunes show it: a pleasing hybrid of roots rock, blues, and a little true country thrown in for good measure. "Who Cut Your Heart Out" is driving, scathing fun, "Lookin' for Trouble" will make your dog howl, and "Good Things Happen" will make any girl bleary-eyed. Fun album.

This is amazing! A new sound that sounds like old. He has his own style, but you can here so much of his father, (john Hartford)in him. It is great that Jamie is following a musical career he has a brite future.

I really like Jamie Hartford because he sounds so much like his dad, John Hartford. If you want a really good CD, buy Part of Your History by Jamie, which is a collection of his dad's songs done by Jamie and special guests. It's a great CD. This one is good, but not great.
