From Library Journal
This slim volume, compiled by a husband-and-wife team, contains statements from teachers advising parents about how to raise their children. Each page has two or three quotes from teachers at various grade levels, but they all pertain to things the teachers wish parents would do or not do for their children. The topics include gifts sent to school, warnings about too much television at home, rude behavior, how to love children, and the failure to underestimate the hard work of teaching. From a parent's point of view, this book is rather depressing because it seems that there are at least 300 things that they don't do right. The few gems of wisdom are outweighed by the book's preachy tone. Most libraries can pass on this one.
