This review is from: What Are Atoms? (Rookie Read-About Science) (Paperback)
Some of my third grade remedial readers had never heard of atoms. They were fascinated by the idea of atoms and molecules. I told them they would learn more about them in middle school science. They didn't want to wait until then and all demanded to know more about atoms, so I ordered this book. It is very, very basic and very short. Probably the best part of the book is the diagram of an atom with electrons, protrons and nucleus labeled. The students seemed satisfied with the explanations in the book for now. Probably a good way to explain the concept for pre-K to 2nd grade.
