About the Author

LISA HARPER served as the director of Women’s Outreach for Focus on the Family, where she was the creator and driving force behind the organization’s Renewing the Heart conferences, which ministered to more than 200,000 women between 1997 and 1999. Now a highly sought-after speaker at women’s retreats, conferences and other events around the country, Lisa has also been featured on radio and television programs such as Midday Connection, Janet Parshall’s America, Focus on the Family, and Life Today with James Robison. She is author of several books, including Relentless Love and Every Woman’s Hope and is the executive producer of two albums, one of which is a Dove Award winner for Praise and Worship Album of the Year. Lisa has her Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.

Lisa Harper is the former director of women's outreach for Focus on the Family and was the creator and driving force behind the organization's popular Renewing the Heart conferences. She is currently working toward her master's degree in biblical studies at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis and is a highly sought-after speaker at women's retreats, conferences, and events across the country. Lisa and her two Jack Russell terriers, Harley and Dot, live just outside of Nashville.

Lisa Harper is such a gifted communicator and she clearly does that in this book. She draws you in with her humor, her wisdom, her Bible knowledge and understanding, her vivid descriptions and discussion of how things were then and ties it in to how things are today. Lisa has a way of relating that draws the reader in. Lisa just gets better and better with each passing book that God inspires her to write. This one is no exception.I am truly blessed by this book and look to share it with others. I have not finished this book because it is a weekly study on the books of the bible but the weeks that I have done have been wonderful. I would recommend this book for beginning Christians and also for all Christians to review all the books of the Bible. I ordered several more for Christmas gifts.

Lisa Harper is the best bible study teacher I have read. She does a wonderful job of intertwining engaging stories with the truth of scripture. She has a way of revealing things in scripture that I had not noticed before. I love everything she has written, especially this book - What the Bible is all about for Women. MUST HAVE BOOK.
