From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 2-Minute, painstaking, cut-paper collages create a minuscule world in which readers are asked to find a cornucopia of objects and people. The connecting link is a girl in a hot-air balloon. As she floats, she views different scenes below. Two partially rhyming stanzas accompany each page-and-a-half wide illustration. The first introduces the picture, with the repeated final line, "What does she spy with her telescope?" Three circular cutaway drawings prompt readers to search for their match in the full drawing. Besides this visual paring, the second paragraph gives verbal clues for other objects to discover. This combination allows both reading and nonreading children independent access to this title. The inviting illustrations are neat and clean with both textured and solid papers used. What's lacking in the clunky text will be quickly forgotten once the search-and-find game begins.

From the Inside Flap
As Tilly enjoys a balloon-riding adventure, you the reader are invited to see all of the trip's points of interest along with her. There's a parade, a construction site, a carnival, and so much more to observe and marvel at. But you'll need to look carefully, because the illustrations are jam-packed, making this a challenging puzzle as well as a story. Tilly's frisky dog Bouncer can also be found in each picture. Can you see him? What else can you see?
