WELL WORTH DEFENDING,
By Bubba Zanetti (Indianapolis, IN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What We Defend (Audio CD)
From the first unsettling creaks of "Camp Keep the Quiet", through the guitar chaos of "Something Steeped, Something Stowed", to the musical see-saw (complete with trombone)that winds down "The Dance of the Precisely Stricken", this album illustrates what may still be done within the rock genre... if a band's not too busy sculpting an image to bother with crafting quality songs. Darin Glenn's goat-like warbble may require a bit of adjustment to the inner ear, but after listening to the album a couple of times, you'll realize that it's the perfect voice for an uncompromising sound. And they're even better live.
