Although it covers good advent topics, it really just covers the basics and I found that you needed to get material from other sources such as additional bible verses or quotations to have a lesson that would last over 30 minutes. Did not generate much discussion without the outside sources.

I had seen his topics listed elsewhere on a list of possible Advent sermons. We bought the book to get some extra material. To our amazement, the topics were different than the list we had, and not at all what we would have picked. Some good stories and good reflection questions. It would probably work well for a Sunday school class or small group.
