In effect, by enlarging upon Mr. Greenspan's statements, I have constructed a primer about how our monetary system works to transfer wealth from poorer people (ordinary taxpayers) to richer people (bankers and those with a stake in Wall Street firms).

Mr. Parks presents in this book the precarious position of the chairman of the Federal Reserve who leaves a continuous string of evidence that the policies of and actions of the Bank referred to as the bank of last resort is indeed going to crush liberties through unsupportable and irresponsible decisions and actions. This leaves no room for speculation as to where things are headed.
Having read this superb book, nothing Mr. Greenspan says will ever be the same. Clearly, he is a very conflicted person. One cannot help but conclude that our savings and our pensions are in mortal danger. How come this book has not come to the attention of our elected representatives? This is much more important than the Enron fraud. Anyone who is concerned about having adequate funds for retirement should read this book very carefully.
