Editorial Reviews

Review

“The book will highlight studies from around the world on human evolution, including more than 20 years of Potts' own extraordinary field research. As a companion to the exhibition, the book will delve deeper into the discoveries that link the evolution of human traits to dramatic climate change over millions of years of Earth's ancient history, and it will also provide enriched context for the Human Origins Initiative's many program elements.” –Health Business Week

The latest and most up-to-date book there is. Which means it is already outdated. Oh well. Still, after visiting the Hall of Human Origins in the National Museum of Natural History in DC, I just had to get it. Full of wonderful pictures, images, maps to help explain one of the greatest stories ever told - the story of us. A mixture of drama, mystery, action, adventure and science! What more could you want? The best part is the book is really good for people with just a passing interest in human evolution yet is detailed enough to make it a delight to read for people, like myself, who has more than a passing interest.
Thank you Richard Potts, Christopher Sloan, and David H. Koch.

The book is well illustrated but sometimes the illustrations seem like page fillers. Scientifically accurate about evolution and how man evolved.

Up to date and easily accessible review of what we know about paleontology. I wish they gave a better time line of human evolution, but I still enjoyed the book very much.
