I guess I didn't read the description well enough--I bought this for my son, who is turning 40. However, when it arrived, it became obvious that it is for an audience of women. Too bad for me, but I'm sure someone will enjoy it.

Some good jokes, some pretty lame but it makes a better gift than a lame card. Funny to review with a group of 40 years (especially when they all have to take out their glasses to read it)

For a joke book... This is pretty good. It was just a little something to add to the gift. Book was much smaller than I expected, but I happen to have preferred it that way, so it worked out perfect!

Funny, anecdotal book about turning 40. I gave it to a girlfriend for her birthday and she enjoyed it. Some of the jokes are a bit corny but it pretty much is exactly what I expected it to be.

This book was hilarious. It made me laugh and it certainly made my dad laugh who was turning 40. I included it in a gift basket with other little trinkets. The book was a great addition.

More About the Author

Bill Dodds has been writing since the age of six when . . .

No, wait. That was printing. And he got Ds in that.

He started writing in . . .

No, wait. That was cursive. And, again, his grades were not stellar.

Ah, but creative writing . . . ! After his blockbuster first novel, "The Christmas Ball" (written in the first or second grade), he . . .

Well, what he did was write only for school assignments and never read ten books from the library for the summer reading program. Ever. No certificate for him.

After he was sent to prison . . .

No, wait.

After he went to boarding school at the tender age of fourteen he started to read more (pre-Internet days and only one non-cable TV set in the entire building) and started to write more.

No, wait.

He had some great teachers in grade school and high school and college who helped him learn how to write, how to write better, and how to write professionally.

He has cranked out a lot of books, like making so many pounds of sausages.

No, wait.

He is a prolific writer.

Ooh. That sounds good.

Stop here, Bill.

Stop, stop, stop.

No wait.

Buy some of his books.

Good.

Now stop.
