I was disappointed in this book because I thought it would have a listing of a most foods and their value in the Zone block system. However, it is not this at all. They go through hundreds of prepared foods, say, Weigh Watchers meals, and tells the blocks for those. I am making food by scratch, so I had to return the book because it did not apply to my family. Excellent book on finding out what to eat to get into the ZONE - would love to have an updated version in the near future.

I thought this would have more recipes for the zone diet. It had losts of information but more about eating out than recipes for at home

I bought this before I had read much about the Zone. I also bought Zone Meals in Seconds and Mastering the Zone. The information is helpful, but the takeaway is calculating the blocks in pre-packaged foods (that is taught in the other books as well). The foods listed are from several years ago and in the case of the Progresso Soup... none of those flavors were available at my grocery. This is not a huge list of raw foods... although the basic list of raw foods can be found in each of Dr. Sear's other books.

Practical help as to what to eat while trying to lose weight. Easy to use and food is practical. I recommend this book and the Zone Diet to everyone.

A great guideline for healthy eating. Stay away from the fake sugar, etc though.

IF I COULD FIGURE OUT WHAT I READ....I WOULD LIKE TO TRY IT...OH MY GOD...I NEED A NUTRITIONIST.
