About the Author

David O. McKay (1873-1970) served for nearly twenty years as the beloved President and Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. McKay was born in Huntsville, Utah, graduated from the University of Utah in 1897, married Emma Ray Riggs in 1901, ordained an LDS apostle in 1906, became a counselor in the First Presidency ion 1934, and served as president of the LDS Church from 1951 to 1970.
