Biography

Seeing the world is an eye-opening experience—especially if you grew up in the tiny town of Draper, Utah—so it’s no wonder Meg & Dia’s new album, Here, Here and Here, paints a portrait of what life has been like for this hard-working band as they’ve toured for the past two and a half years in support of their 2006 debut album Something Real (which spawned the fan favorite singles “Roses” and… Read more in Amazon's Meg & Dia Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Only buy for What Are You Into?, October 14, 2010
This review is from: What Is It? a Fender Bender Ep (Audio CD)
This came out before SR and after OHIG. The first 2 tracks were released on SR, and Santa Barbara is from OHIG. The only reason anyone should buy this EP is for What Are You Into?, which isn't on any other EP's or Albums.

If you want acoustic versions find a copy of OHIG, it has acoustic versions of Masterpiece, Indiana, Nineteen Stars, part of Roses (Timmy), and Lessons In New Jersey from the IYPFSTSSF EP.

3.0 out of 5 stars If I never surface then it doesn't matter (3.5), July 5, 2008

This review is from: What Is It? a Fender Bender Ep (Audio CD)
After Meg & Dia's fantastic debut, Something Real, I went in search of anything else they might've released independently. Enter, What Is It? A Fender Bender. Now I don't know if this was released before Something Real or after, either way, I came out disappointed.

Monster and Indiana are EXACTLY like their counterparts on SR. No no, not early demos, not acoustic, nothing. That was the buzzkill for me. By the time Indiana finished I didn't have any desire to continue listening. Yes, those are both great songs, and favorites of mine from the full-length, but give us something different on an EP! The other two, that aren't on that CD, are better treats though. What Are You Into? is performed acoustic featuring powerful vocals in the vein of, I guess Setting Up Sunday (maybe). Santa Barbara is also acoustic and actually sounds like they made it way before they got a record deal. So, automatically, it's the best song on here.

With everything bad I've said, it is still Meg & Dia, so you won't be wasting your money. These girls are tremendously talented and it's obvious in the short span of this four-track EP. Need more of a selling point? It's cheap. What more do you need?
