This is definetly an album that i would put on at a party to get people a movin'. but to me the best parts come when you least expect it like the soul filled tune it came over me. id recommend buying this and Discern/Define, you should get a good scope of how damn good these germans are. they also have numerous numerous recordings under such pseudonyms as, karl hector and the malcouns, the whitefield brothers, and a compilation of various recording called Raw Funk. so if you dig that raw gritty accesible funk that isnt such polished turds as tower of power, or worse, please take my word for it. if not 100% satisfied ill hole myslef up in a dark basement and crank nothing but steely dan for a week.

This CD has all the same cuts as Practice What You Preach with additions of tracks 3 and 11, which are from the compilation album Original Raw Soul Vol. 1 (1995) on Soulciety Records. Those 2 tracks are the baddest James Brownish tracks on the whole thing.
