Audio transwarped to the 60's, January 6, 2004

The Jessica Fletchers capture the spirit of the 60's through a grab-bag of colorful vibes and addictive hooks. 'Whatever Happened To The' is a sweet confection of British Invasion powerpop, grabbing strands from kitschy one-hit wonders and groovy 60's soundtracks to The Who, The Kinks and The Beatles. The influences are scattered all over the place, yet the CD is cohesive and tight, held together by common theme of infectious melodies and a twinge of psychadelia. The musical formula still works, and if you concentrate hard enough...soon there will be images of liquid neon projections, moptop hair, and go-go dancers with platform boots.
