5.0 out of 5 stars A dynamite little book!!, March 15, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: What Have You Got to Lose?: Experience a Richer Life By Letting Go of the Things That Confuse, Clutter and Contaminate (Hardcover)
This is such an excellent little book. It will help you clean up your life, learn to give your cares to Jesus, break free from bondage to food, fear and other folly, and review many passages of Scripture that are relevant to each theme. It is definitely worth the price of the book. I bought six of them to give to friends.

I even wrote a 25-page study guide for the book for my friends. (I'm an instructional designer.) If you'd like a copy, write to me and I'll send you the link.

Here's just the first three themes to whet your appetite:

- Lose the Burden of Control...Gain the Freedom of Surrender
- Lose the Do-It-Yourself Mentality...Gain the Gift of Grace
- Lose the Unrealistic Expectations...Gain Real Hope

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly Surprised, May 6, 2008
This review is from: What Have You Got to Lose?: Experience a Richer Life By Letting Go of the Things That Confuse, Clutter and Contaminate (Hardcover)
At first I was disappointed in the size and taught me a lesson to see how many pages in a book before i purchase, but I was pleasantly surprised how powerful the words were, and thought it was a perfect gift to a relative who is not a "reader", hope they equally got something out of it as I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dee Lundgren Christian Counselor Langhorne, PA, November 20, 2010
This book is on par with the excellent insights and practicality that can be expected from Stephen Artherburn. Most counseling books talk about adding positive habits and behaviors to one's life but this book addressess those things that actually take away from our life. The clutter and contaminents in our lives keep us so occupied that we are not able to enjoy and experience the freedom in Christ that God has for us. Written from a Christian worldview that can be applied to any individual. Simple but profound in application.
