I love the mechanized feeling of Dagoba's music on their new LP. To a certain extent unclassifiable, one can only say `sounds like' or `contains elements of' in order to describe the nature of this music, though that in itself makes this no justice. Yes, this is a whole mixture of thrash/industrial/death/hardcore metal. The role of the electronics is massive, providing a variety of soundscapes to the songs. Don't let that fool you though, for the brutal approach to the music remains constant and reliable. I can safely say Dagoba was probably inspired by Fear Factory's first 3 LP's (before they started to suck), and even incorporates clean singing at times (without sounding wimpy like Burton Bell). To a greater extent, this IS what the aforementioned band should be doing nowadays. But Dagoba have created a monster of their own and this new release proves they can take the best elements of (there we go...) previous accomplishments and create something deadlier.

Amazing,

I was given this band's cd a long time ago. though hesitant at first, within the first 30 seconds of the first song, i was hooked. this album has been constantly playing for over 2 years on my computer and Zune. The driving drums and guitars mix splendidly with the vocals, the epitome of what a good metal band should sound like. I've never heard anything like them. I recommend this highly.

Glad you made it to this review! Well, It's quite difficult to sum this album up. It's one of the most brutal albums I own! I listen to it everyday. It's intinged with industrial stitch and wrapped up in a blanket from, you guessed it, Hell. This album will leave you cringing with wonder of how someone can get away with making an album so heavy and catchy.'What Hell Is About' Has everything you need from a metal album in it! With guest vocals from the egnima himself, VORTEX (Arcturus, Dimmu, ect...) This album exceeds most thrash albums. With Very modern and quick palm muting and double bass fusion. It will leave you breathless. I can't really go on saying good things about this album, because there is so many good things to say...I don't know where to start!
