A mix between country and pop,
By Twinrova (MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What I Really Meant to Say (Audio CD)
I like both songs on this single. I could listen to both over and over. The "WHAT I REALLY MEANT TO SAY" song is addictive, and you can easily remember the tune. "THINGS I WOULD DO" is a fun, poppy song. Both were co-written by Cyndi. She really can sing and carry a tune! It also comes with an Enhanced CD version where you can see videos and pics.

"What I really meant to say" is a beautiful song that hits home with anyone that has ever experienced a missed opportunty reconciling with a true love. The CD also has an entertaining video and autobiography of Cyndi in her home town, very much worth watching. Looking forward to more of Cyndi!

New artist explosion,
By Vincent Dorrough (Virginia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What I Really Meant to Say (Audio CD)
Back in 1996, country had a new artist explosion with LeAnn Rimes, Kevin Sharp, Deana Carter, and Mindy McCready. I think the same this is happening now with Jamie O'Neal, Brad Paisly, Keith Urban, and Cyndi Thomson. Her voice is so naturally beautiful, and she doesn't rift for dramatic effect. Her voice is naturally soft and airy, and the song "What I Really Meant to Say" is a great song for her voice. It's one of the best songs so far this year, and I think it will do really well.

I recently bought this single and let me say I LOVE it so much!!! This single has made me a huge fan of Cyndi's. Cyndi Thomson has a beautiful voice and also writes as well as sings her songs. This single is enhanced, and when you put it in your computer there's all kinds of cool stuff to do, including watch her debut music video, listen to the CD, and also watch a video bio. So if you like her debut song, "What I Really Meant To Say", buy this CD!!! You will not regret it!!!

Cyndi Thomson has one of the most distinctive and beautiful voices to come out fo Nashville in a long time. The first time I heard this song, I knew I needed the album! While I'm settling for the single now, it's a promising hint of what's to come. The instrumentation on the song is gorgeous, and the feeling Cyndi puts into singing this song is a far cry from the fake manufactured pop/rock/country we hear on the radio. Let's hope she does well!

It was a typical day, flicking through the channels, when i stopped on CMT. and wow, a song that touched something. A newcomer that strikes a cord, something that has been missing for a long time. It's quick and to the point, and Cyndi's voice is something to be marveloud after, and appreciated. Waiting to see this one receive a award. Most justly deserved!!!!

The Georgia Peach Is Ripe And Off To A Great Start :),
This review is from: What I Really Meant to Say (Audio CD)
I first heard "What I Really Meant To Say" several months ago one rainy afternoon on the radio when the local Country station was playing singles that would be released in the near future. I remembered it well, because the singer's poignancy and deep sense of loss almost brought me to tears. A few months later, it started coming on the radio, as well as the CMT (Country Music Television) Channel, and it still made me feel deeply. So, I finally was able to find the CD-single in a local K-Mart and hearing "What I Really Meant To Say" still rocked my world as much as the first time. That song has quickly become one of my favorites and it really made me think what would happen if I lost someone or ended a relationship with someone that I truly loved, and I never got to say what I was really feeling. It taught me to appreciate what I have now in life, and to make sure I always give the people that are important to me in my life the truth, while they're still in my life... In addition, the CD-Single comes with another tune from her debut, "My World" album. This one is called "Things I Would Do", and it's a lively, toe-tapper that illustrates the situation of a girl contemplating what she lengths she would go through to have a certain man in her life. Still, I don't like it as much as "What I Really Meant To Say", but it's still a good song to get in your head if you're in the mood for something a little more upbeat. I love this single, and bonus!: It's an enhanced CD that includes photos, links, e-cards, and a music video and Cindy Thomson's home-video (though, you need to download 'Quicktime' to efficiently run the videos.) Wouldn't be at all surprised to see more of Cindy's awesome songs and great character becoming popular with Country Radion. I hope that the rest of the songs on her album are like the two from this single. Guess I'll find out, because I plan to buy it real soon :)
