In her book, What Is He Thinking?? Rebecca St. James touches on a particular subject all of us women are curious about: what are guys thinking about?! Especially in the context of what they think and how they feel about dating, love, and women all together. With honesty and genuine curiosity, Rebecca describes her interviews with single, and married males from all walks of life, and also tells her readers about her personal experiences in the world of dating. Rebecca also touches on true stories-of young Christian women who are sold out on God, and who are willing to take on whatever He calls them to do with their lives, especially in the dating scene.

Rebecca covers a wide variety of topics in her book, offering insight into so many questions we as women have, but are not always able to find the answers to. "How important is physical attraction to a man, when they are looking for a woman to be with?", "What are guys looking for in regards to spirituality and a relationship with the Lord?". Rebecca answers these questions and more through her interviews with these men, and continues to list other questions single women have.

This book not only contains answers to the questions we have about the world of men, but it also includes some fun date night ideas as well as advice on how to let a guy know you are interested. It teaches you to be confident in yourself and in your relationship with God, because that is the most important relationship you'll ever be in. Talk about a guy being committed to you! To love and cherish you! To let no good deed of yours go unseen, and to know every thought, feeling, word, action....now that's what I'm talking about! Once you have established an unbreakable and confident relationship with the Lord, things will tend to fall into place, including your relationships with other men according to his will.

This book was helpful in reminding me about some of the biblical truths behind dating and marriage, and I am truly excited to apply these principles into my own dating life! I received this book, compliments of Propeller and Rebecca St. James for my honest review and would rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars; this being that though the content was priceless, it took a while to get the point across and was at times monotonous.

Let me preface this by saying that I love the music that Rebecca St. James creates and have met her in person in concerts on two occasions and she's lovely. I purchased this book believing that it would contain wisdom, clear insight and views from many different men. Instead, it contains views and opinions from only 16 gentlemen and they are all personal friends and/or family of the author. In other words, they're going to mirror her personal views for the most part, with little variation. I also had expectations that the book would offer clear direction (it doesn't) and possibly even contain some stories of the author's personal dating experiences (it does, but very vague) and possibly even contain the story of how she met and eventually married her husband (it doesn't). I did purchase this book at a discount from the retail price, but I'm very disappointed. Having met her, I'm sure this wasn't her motive, but the book appears to be a grab for money and something that is being sold purely on the good name of Rebecca St. James and not much else. There are many other, more in depth, more direct, and more productive books than this one that cover this topic. Respectfully, I believe that the author should stick to producing music and all that is entailed with that enterprise and not attempt to tackle the written word.

This book is very much geared towards single women but I did get some out of it and ways to help my own relationship with my husband and with God.
Rebecca St. James interviewed several men, some single, some married and got their thoughts on questions us women ask. There are 8 chapters covering different topics and within those chapters are mini topics that all relate to the chapter. At the end of each chapter there is a "few takeaways" section where we are given the gist of what the chapter was about and how to apply it to our lives.
As we know most men(and women) look for a physical attraction first when looking for a mate. But Rebecca St. James has the guys take that thought further and asks them what makes a women attractive to them. A lot talked about the woman's character and her relationship with God as being very important to them. A lot of men said that a women shouldn't be pushy when it comes to getting their attention, but yet make sure your intentions are known.
I think this book would be perfect for a young single women group. You could read a chapter a week and discuss what you learned and how you can apply it to today.
I enjoyed reading this book. I even had some good laughs and good "awww" moments while reading this book.
