Good overview with specific strategies such as grief.
Robert J Meyer
I was worried that it would be too clinical to read or understand, as are so many such books, but that was not the case.

I found this book, of all the ones I have read, to be the most readable, understandable and connected to my understanding of what is PTSD. I was worried that it would be too clinical to read or understand, as are so many such books, but that was not the case. This book is a must read that I would recommend to anyone. Congratulations to both of you.

Informative and well researched. Being a Trauma survivor and having been treated for this disorder I will say the book did open some old wounds so be careful to have support near by AND - OR work through the process of self healing without hesitating.

I have known the author personally for a while and known of her for several years. She is an excellent teacher (I have sat in her seminars). She knows what she is speaking about and is able to explain so that I, as a layperson, can understand. I found this book easy to understand and to grasp. Any technical language and acronyms were explaned. I would highly recommend this Author and her book. I personally have (still am) suffering from PTSD and the insights from this book have/will be invaluable as I continue to heal.

Good book for those that haven't a clue about PTSD, but leaves out certain categories of PTSD that exist.
Therefore, I would say it is an "introductory level book, but not a comprehensive book."
The suggestion that 17 years of sexual abuse, psychological and physical abuse can be "healed" in these 3 steps" is unrealistic.
35 years of therapy hasn't even peeled away enough layers to get to the hard-wired aspects I am left with that continue to ruin my life.

Thorough review of PTSD and clearly written so that even readers without prior knowledge of the subject would have no difficulty understanding it.
