the music's great. And it also makes you think twice before you critize a person. "if you've ever walked a mile in her shoes, then you really might know what it's like to have to choose." (Everlast)

Everlast's "What It's Like" has moved me like no other. I am absolutely amazed that someone (especially a guy) can have such a deep understanding of "what it's like" for a young girl, or any woman, to "have to choose." Plus the compassion shown in the song for the homeless guy outside of the liquor store... and more, seeing the YouTube video, of how we all end up drowning at one time or another... and we all have crossed the line at one time or another.

Well, all I can say is "More power to you, brother." This Everlast guy is one incredible poet and hip-hop dude. Never thought that was possible. I'd like to definitely hear more of what has been called this brand of "acoustic hip-hop." Hope there's more like this from him out there.

Good song to listen to over and over. Heard it once and loved it!

There is few things that I love about this song: 1) The lyrics are deep 2) The beat is great from hip-hop to jazz to rock 3) The way he sings this song puts more feeling into the song and it sounds great!!!!! Two thumbs up!!!!!

This song is very awesome The lyrics are very strong. It really defines the meaning of life of people who have these promblems in life.

I like this song because I see homeless around my town all the time and it reminds me of how gifted and lucky I am and also gives me the desire to help those who might want it.

I really love this song it makes you think about what how lucky some of us are. The music is a mixture of hip-hop and blues and the lyrics really hit home. In my opinion this CD will definitely be the highlight of 1999.

I really enjoyed listenning to Everlast's What's it like.His music is scary but at the same time powerful.The lyrics are deep down to the heart.He has a nice tune which mixes rock, hip hop and jazzy blues music. His music has a great message which involves unity and hope.
