Janet Evanovich sans profanity. No cursing. A great story with an ending unlike any other. Looking forward to the next one in the series, South River Incident. Five stars for this one.

I have this entire series in hardcover - but so happy to be able to have on my kindle also!!. At first this series reminded me a little of Janet Evanovitch's(?) Stephanie Plum - but Jesse Watson is more level-headed, and believable:) But there were a couple parts that brought those to mind! I think anyone who enjoys the Plum books will also like these. I have enjoyed each book, and enjoyed getting to know Jesse and her family. I have laughed, cried and grieved along with them for quite a few years now.The books take place mostly in Charlottesville,Va and nearby small towns - one of my favorite areas to visit. Every time I vacation near there and pass Gordonsville, or Stanardsville(?) I cant help but smile just thinking of this series and all the adventures of Jesse & Billy!

I love, love, love this series. Fully developed characters, great story line, full of suspense, thrills, and of course lots of laughs! I couldn't put this down. I had to read the first book in one day!
