Practice breathing before reading this work! Inhale deeply and begin with "Aqua Series". This piece pushes the reader through the surface of safety. The nine pieces that follow leave you gasping for air. Come to the last page slowly, or complete decompression may occur! A great, torturous suffocatingly REAL read

Tight and poetic stories,

"Investigate everything before you judge". Good advice from a homophobic christian. Too bad they didn't try it out for themselves. They might have enjoyed a story or two. Their loss. Rebecca Brown is an amazing writer and quite a secret. How interesting that it's so hard to find engaging, non-formulaic queer writers. I searched Brown out years ago and her poetic story collections continue to resonate with me. Straight people can read and enjoy them too!
