Book Description

Harlequin Super Romance September 1, 2003
What Madeline Wants: A second chance. And she figures she'll get that at Tripplehorne Ranch in Arizona where she's been hired to teach English to the Spanish-speaking staff.

What Madeline Gets: A big surprise. The owner of the Tripplehorne is dead, and the new owner J.D. Rivera is a man with a secret. He's also dark, handsome and--if the locals are to be believed--dangerous. And hiring an English teacher just isn't in his plans.

But plans can always be changed ...

More About the Author

Linda Style was born and raised in Minnesota, where she spent many long, cold winters making up stories in her head. She attended the University of Minnesota, studying behavioral science, married and had a family. But the dream of writing persisted, and after moving to Arizona, she earned a degree in journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Jouralism at Arizona State University. She's worked in many jobs from social services to magazine editor, and, now, with 14 novels under her belt, her books are sold worldwide and in many different languages. In addition to penning her novels of romance, adventure and intrigue, she also teaches novel writing at Bootcamp for Novelists Online. Since her first sale to Harlequin Enterprises in 1999, her novels have won several contests and awards, including the prestigious Daphne du Maurier Award. When not writing, or teaching, Linda indulges her passions for travel, photography, hiking in the Arizona mountains, and enjoying her family. 2.0 out of 5 stars Ummm...., June 8, 2004
This review is from: What Madeline Wants (Harlequin Superromance No. 1155) (Mass Market Paperback)
The change in the lead male character J.D. was just too sudden for me. One minute he's a jerk, and the next minute he's Maddy's dream man? It just didn't feel real, it felt very contrived, and I didn't enjoy it as much as I have with other Harlequins. I would skip this one.
