5.0 out of 5 stars This Album Makes My Heart Soar!! I Love It!
Cheri is destined to become one of the all time greats in the Christian arena. I love her voice, I love her song, I love her piano, I love everything about these albums. I just about die from pleasure every time I hear her piano overture to "Freedom" and the song "Freedom Calling" is indeed the truth!! I want everyone to hear this!! Other favorite...

3.0 out of 5 stars Fair
I loved Cheri Keaggy's first CD- "Child of the Father"-, but something was missing in this one. Her cover look has changed and she doesn't seem to have the innocence she did in "Child of the Father" and "My Faith Will Stay". I still liked it, but will hesitate before buying any future releases. Think twice before you get this one.

I first came across Cheri Keaggy at a concert. She's WONDERFUL! I bought all three of her albums right there. Now I'm hooked! Her ability to connect and relate with the audience's hearts was incredible. Each song on these albums is so uplifting and thought provoking. Great for the kids. Send them a positive message...yes, you can have great music with a POSITIVE message in it! I can't wait for her next release.

It's worth every dime. I just about wore this one out in a week's time. She must know His love, because it flows from her music. A definite heart lifter, mender, & strength builder.

5.0 out of 5 stars God defines love, February 18, 2004
By
Philip S Roeda (Cook, Illinois United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: What Matters Most (Audio CD)
A concept album. the thesis of the album seems to be "What would it matter if we just lived -Without loving our God." The first song titled What a Privilege is about inviting God into your busy life. Not allowing the day to day worries push God out of our daily schedule. Not allowing major changes make one lock God out of ones life.

"'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. (Revelation 3:8 RSV)

Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth. (Revelation 3:10 RSV)

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20 RSV)

What Matters Most is a plea to show God's love in your life. This cannot happen if one does not love God.

Jesus answered, "The first is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." And the scribe said to him, "You are right, Teacher; you have truly said that he is one, and there is no other but he; and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices." (Mark 12:29-33 RSV)

Heaven's on my mind is about living ones life on this world while remembering Christians are aliens on this earth and home is in heaven with Jesus Christ. This knowledge should help the Christian in showing the joys of the Lord and fruit of the Spirit.

But our commonwealth is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, (Philippians 3:20 RSV)

We are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8 RSV)

Freedom Calling is about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. It is a plea to see those who do not have life in Christ.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17 RSV)

You Take Me There talks how the Holy Spirit brings us closer to God.

and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us. (Romans 5:5 RSV)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.(Romans 15:13 RSV)

His Banner Over Me speaks of God's constant presence.

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. (Song of Solomon 2:4 RSV)

This verse is talking about man's love. The song on the album is talking about God's love and protection.

Not With Jesus is about the Spiritual healing Jesus can bring to your day to day life: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.(Romans 15:13 )

Part of My Story is a plea to let God write your story by inviting God to be the main character in your life.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20 RSV)

Glory Be is about praising God. God's felt presence brings comfort in your life. God deserves man's praise regardless.

He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, (Hebrews 1:3 RSV)
