5.0 out of 5 stars So good it will make you cells splater, January 23, 2005

by far my favorite david torn album instead of splattercell's oh.

Draws a lot of simulatities from splattercell with cut up and proccesed drums with lavish and un paralel guitar and guitar like effects. This man playes like no other with either a fusion blues esk approach or a crazy electric fusion better than vai, and satriani together. He simply states in the liner notes that any sound that sounds like a keyboard is actually a guitar.

If you have the chance to pick up this out of print gem its worth exporting, more than any other torn but their all really good but door x or (door sucks).

3.0 out of 5 stars a mixed bag, March 22, 2006
This review is from: What Means Solid Traveller (Audio CD)
This album is a mixed bag. The first three track are excellent. Spell Breaks With The Weather displays a sharp guitar part over an processed drum pattern. In the title track, Torn solos over an acid guitar rhythm. Such Little Mirrors is an eerie, dreamy piece resembling Torn’s work on Cloud About Mercury. Those pieces have a very loose structure and an oriental feel to them. The last track Elsewhere, Now Than Waving is a gorgeous, ten minute soundscape, worth Robert Fripp's solo work. The rest of the tracks are pretty average: some psyched out blues that I’m not particularly found off and some generic guitar compositions.

But if you get this album, you’ll still get thirty minutes of excellent music.
