Cynthia W. Gentry's most recent book is What Women Really Want in Bed, which she co-authored with longtime friend Dana Fredsti. It's the sequel to What Men Really Want in Bed: The Surprising Facts Men Wish Women Knew About Sex.

Gentry is also the author of Secret Seductions: 62 Naughty Nights, Lusty Liaisons and Sexy Surprises and Mind-Blowing Orgasms Every Day: 365 Wild and Wicked Ways to Revitalize Your Sex Life. She is also the co-author, with David Ramsdale, of Red Hot Tantra: Erotic Secrets of Red Tantra for Intimate, Soul-to-Soul Sex and Ecstatic, Enlightened Orgasms (Fair Winds Press), for which she wrote the erotica. Here erotic short story "Just Friends" was published on RavenousRomance.com, and she hopes to someday turn it into a novel.

Gentry is frequently interviewed by magazines like Glamour and Cosmopolitan for articles on sex and relationships. Gentry's fiction and journalism has appeared in Area i, The Montserrat Review and Reed Magazine, as well as magazines such as budget savvy. Gentry has a master's degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley, where she was the recipient of the Edna Kinard Prize, the Alfred & Ruth Thompson Perassolo Scholarship and a Regent's Fellowship. Obviously, the authors can't tell you what YOUR man wants in bed. But this book is an excellent insight into what men in general want from sex and say about sex. The surveys ask about everything, and the graphs and charts are a quick and easy way to see what the MAJORITY of men prefer. I found it really helpful and interesting.

I enjoyed this book. It was wonderful to finally read a book about what men really like and enjoy about sex. It is not your over blown (no pun intended) Cosmo magazine BS. It's broken down into sections for different sexual styles and experiences. What I got from this is that passion for sex and communication with their partners was number one for most of them. And interestingly, pleasuring their partners was extremely important to most of the men interviewed, and they really want their female partners to get off. So ladies not every man you meet is in it for himself. It's also fun to read in bed. ;o)

Clearly, I can't tell you what I learned from this book. I will ask my girlfriend to write in though... Anyway, C. W. Gentry's books are easily read, embarrassment-free and down to earth. They deal with topics most people feel uncomfortable talking about in a way that makes them seem perfectly routine. What men need to understand about women is that they all want sex too, they just go about it differently! This book should help to reduce the differences between myth and reality, and is based on real interviews with real men.
