Outstanding Survey of Holistic Christian Mission,
This review is from: What is Mission? (Paperback)
Professor Kirk's "What is Mission?" is likely the best short overview of the purpose and methods of Twenty-first Century missiology. He presents an holistic and biblical basis for our participation in the missio Dei, with the clear clarion call for the universal Church to "be witnesses" in all the world, with the whole Gospel. This is the book for anyone seeking a firm grounding in contemporary missiology.

This review is from: What is Mission? (Paperback)
This book was ordered for an assignment in school. I thought this book was very resourceful about missions. It is very easy to read and would recommend others to read it.

Very liberal view of Mission,
By
This review is from: What is Mission? (Paperback)
The book gives a sound overview of a liberal perspective of Mission. It is a good read, but unfortunately it is limited because it does not bring in the conservative view of a primary focus of Mission on the sharing of the Good News and the current and future salvation offered to all those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If you are liberal in your view of Mission, this book is for you.
