I was impressed by the amount of fast numbers on this cd. I loved the upbeat songs and just adored the slow ones. "Too Serious too soon" is a great hit. So is " Downtown" it just keeps me going! If you haven't bought this yet. Go for it. Also if you like POP you will love this cd.

I bought this album when I was on my holiday trip in Bangkok. I love all the track in Gareth's album. But one of track I like the best "With You All The Time.

This Track should be in No. 1 of all chart. Buy this album and listen to that track and you will agreed with me.

I have had Gareth's album now since it was first released in the UK in the Autumn and not a day has gone by when I have not played it. The balance of ballads, and upbeat pop songs is perfect and the whole album flows from track to track. Gareth's voice for an artist so young (is he really only 18) shows such versitility and depth, I know this guy will be on the music scene for a long time to come. Thoroughly enjoyable, definately a MUST HAVE!

I'm not really a big fan of this kind of pop, so when I heard his first song, "Anyone One Of Us", I first tought this [stinks] and switched to another channel. But than I saw the clip on tv en you know, it was in Venezia and cuz I've been there this easter I watched his clip and in the main time, I heard his song for the first time for real and later, I saw him in Top Of The Pops and I was sold. His voice is sooooooo great that I have forgotten that I hate his music!!!! He is the best singer - after Marco Borsato, Kurt Cobain (etc) - anyway, better than the winner from Idols in GB!!! (he was 2nd, how is that possible?????)
so buy it!!!!

Being a huge fan of AMERICAN IDOL in the USA, I was excited to order the debut release by the runner up of the UK version.....Gareth Gates' debut is a complete delight from start to finish! It is filled with a heartfelt remake of The Righteous Brothers' UNCHAINED MELODY, the dance anthem and pure fun ANYONE OF US, the gorgeous ballad, WHAT MY HEART WANTS TO SAY.......the great remake of Elvis' SUSPICIOUS MINDS....it is just pure pop confection from start to finish with a wonderful smooth tenor sound! If you want to be swept away and feel good, pick this up!

i don't know why he couldn't win the pop idol,he is much better than will young(who won in pop idol&many awards with the worst song evergreen...) ...
he-who got so many best song like UNCHAINED MELODY,ANYONE OF US(STUPID MISTAKE)& alot of song in this album(must remember that will young just had evergreen&anything is possible).they were wrong when they wer chose will young.

I LOVE Gareth Gates and I was so thrilled to get this cd. I just got it a few weeks ago. I live in the USA, so he isn't very well known over here at all. None of his music is sold over here or anything. I found out about him when I was on a forum for another singer that I liked. I checked him out and fell in love with him instantly!

I really enjoy this cd a lot! It is easily my favorite cd in my collection. "What My Heart Wants To Say" and "That's When You Know" are probably my two absolute favorite songs on the whole cd, although I love them all. My dad even likes Gareth Gates...and his girlfriend as well. They appreciate his voice and the songs that he sings.

I would definately recommend this cd to people. The songs are wonderful, Gareth has a heavenly voice, and they are perfect to listen to in any situation. Gareth is my favorite singer, and if you get this cd and listen to it, you will know why.

Wow! This cd showcases his very smooth and sweet voice, and is mixed really well.. so that the song types are mixed.. not too many slow and not to many fast songs in a row. His dreamy voice is silky and very nice to listen to. If your not familiar with the UK Pop Idol, this CD is a must have...(we all know he should have won first place)

I like Gareth's voice. He is a terrific performer and has all the energy that an 18 year old guy could possibly ever want. He is a very talented multiinstrumental musician and demonstrated this on his DVD done in 2003. The tunes on this CD are pop standards of which I particularly liked "Unchained Melody", and adore the "Anyone of Us" because it is so real.

"What my heart wants to say" showcases his very sweet voice. "That's when you know" is given a more profound treatment and he carries it off, mostly. "With you all the time" is a nice ballad, but I particularly liked his elastic style on "I've got no self control". He does well with up tempo songs and his inherent musicality is obvious in how well he paces his styling of songs. Good job.
