Book Description

November 1994
Ignite your students' imaginations with exciting, future-oriented activities. Imagine your students designing a television commercial in order to evaluate the growing power of mass media. Or, imagine your class working in small groups to develop a character sketch that probes the weaknesses of rampant consumerism. Or, stand back as your students prepare speeches that project current technology trends 20 years into the future. These activities are designed to improve their communication and problem solving skills and to enlarge and enrich their images of the future.

What Next? is packed with activities like these that inspire thinking about the future. This 290-page book includes 52 exciting units designed to challenge the thinking skills of your students. Organized so that Creative Problem Solving can be integrated into a language arts, social studies, or humanities classroom, this book is filled with motivational activities that put your students' thinking to the test.
