Editorial Reviews

Disasters should be handled by the professionals--fashion disasters included. Enter Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, style experts for the couture-challenged. The fashionable duo swoop in to rescue the frumpy and dumpy, the mismatched and the ill-flattered, for a chance at a life-changing fashion make-over. Nominated by friends and family, the contestants toss all of their previous ideas about style --and their entire wardrobe--out the window, and put their faith in Stacy and Clinton, master hairstylist Nick Arrojo, and glamorous make-up artist Carmindy. With the help of $5,000, ho-hum style evolves into city-chic and outdated looks become cutting-edge in the expert hands of the "What Not to Wear" team. Episode 39: Terry from San Francisco is more interested in catching a wave or getting a hole in one than going shopping. Terry's life revolves around surfing, cycling, skateboarding, golfing and running his landscape design business. He will go from the beach to a business meeting wearing the same clothes, most of which come from a thrift store sale. His ten-year-old daughter thinks its time to smarten up his act but Terry thinks time spent shopping is time wasted. Stacy London and Clinton Kelly know Terry's sporty physique will look good in the proper clothes, but Terry says he's anti-fashion. At 38 years old and living an outdoors life, Carmindy gets Terry some expert advice about sun damaged skin.
