Disasters should be handled by the professionals--fashion disasters included. Enter Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, style experts for the couture-challenged. The fashionable duo swoop in to rescue the frumpy and dumpy, the mismatched and the ill-flattered, for a chance at a life-changing fashion make-over. Nominated by friends and family, the contestants toss all of their previous ideas about style --and their entire wardrobe--out the window, and put their faith in Stacy and Clinton, master hairstylist Nick Arrojo, and glamorous make-up artist Carmindy. With the help of $5,000, ho-hum style evolves into city-chic and outdated looks become cutting-edge in the expert hands of the "What Not to Wear" team. Episode 1: This New York hairdresser has a good body, and she isn't afraid to give her clients an eyeful. With her trousers too tight, her skirts too short and too much flesh on display, Gina's friends think her style is too cheap and trashy. They want her to look more like the successful businesswoman she is. They say she needs to dump her lycra boob tubes, her sequined minis and her addiction to glitter, and let her personality be the only thing about her that sparkles. Gina's hair and make up reflect her "try anything" approach, with glitter, green eye shadow and hair that even she describes is as a 'calico cat.' Can Stacy London and Clinton Kelly refine Gina's style to be more class and less trash?
