Not always good, clean fun!, November 7, 2007
This review is from: What Pets Do While You're at Work (Paperback)
What are your dogs, cats, bunnies and hamsters up to after you walk out the door every day? Well, at last the truth can be revealed by Jason Bergund and Bev West, in their tell-all expose filled with candid photos of pets drinking your liquor, watching cable (pay-per-view?), luxuriating on your bed, in the pool, smoking and other surprising activities.
This is a must for pet lovers who have probably suspected all along that their animal companions are really people.

Not funny., January 27, 2011
For anyone who loves cute and funny animal pictures and has internet access, this book is NOT for you.
About 90% of the pictures in this book are available online in many, many, many funny picture sites. Honestly, that would have been fine, if the captions had been truly funny enough to make up for it. But they aren't.
And the worst part of all is the horibble picture quality. Most all pictures are pixelated and blurry, obviously taken from online sources, some even photoshopped, which take away from the theme of the book.
There are a couple of pictures that make it less than family friendly, including dogs with cigarrates, alcohol, bunnies eating marijuana leaves, and a certain adult toy...
Not worth your money. I'm just glad I borrowed this, and didn't buy it.

Cats, dogs, and others, November 26, 2010
This review is from: What Pets Do While You're at Work (Paperback)
Some of these full-color photographs are obviously candid (French bulldog Rad essaying a go on a skateboard, two lop-eared rabbits feasting on what appears to be green marijuana, Annabelle the cat embracing a plastic Jesus, kitten Tommy asprawl in his dish of kibble, Roz the Siamese attentively watching a screen of computer solitaire), others photo-shopped (Peyton the mouse (in miniature football helmet) preparing to extract cheese from a trap, Poison the blue chameleon riding a motorcycle, Trigger the kitten aiming a miniature assault rifle out the window, Sylvester the cat overcoming a dog with his "flying tiger kick"), and still others probably posed (Minou the cat paging through her mistress's copy of Joy of Cooking: 75th Anniversary Edition - 2006, Doobie the young malamute crammed onto a shelf in the fridge). Pets of every type, including birds, guinea pigs, a goldfish, a hedgehog, and a tame skunk, are seen in a wide variety of situations, some sweet, some silly. Animal lovers will find this collection irresistible.
