5.0 out of 5 stars Heart Warming January 18, 2009
This is one of my favorites KDramas. Why, you may ask? The protagonists have great chemistry, you can see they have a strong Romeo and Juliet scenario where they are kept apart by family (mainly Hye Rim's mother and the lingering spirit of her sister), and seeing such a silly country bumpkin go from planting potatoes to such a dazzling life but still feel humble is nice to see. I would recommend this to anyone who is new to the KDrama world or just wants to see a great drama.

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't look for Ben Kingsley in this drama August 12, 2009
By E. Lee
Well, I wanted to like this more, but the ending was really sloppy, and can't say I didn't walk away from this drama wishing they had done some other things in the story. It is a bit distracting that the female lead, who is very cute, also looks like she is 13 years old, which is kinda disturbing when you see her with the male lead. I know she's not really that young, and when she's out of pigtails, she can look older, but the "country" version of her was distracting. I liked most of the supporting characters, and there were some really nice moments, but after about 10 episodes, the next 5 episodes seem to be on loop. Maybe I'm too harsh, but after seeing Boys Over Flowers, Coffee Prince, etc., this definitely pales.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best! December 29, 2007
This is by far the best Korean drama I've seen. I've been waiting for this to be released forever and I'm so glad that more people will get to experience it now. It makes you laugh and cry, sometimes all at the same time. You can tell that the characters really learn something from their journey together but you don't get any of the standard cliches. When I was in between discs I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next!
