What an album!,

If you haven't checked out Eric Herman and his Invisible Band before... well, you have some catching up to do. But here's a good place to start.
This is a terrific album that has become an overnight sensation with my 2-year-old (who might arguably be Eric Herman's biggest fan aside from members of his immediate family). She is particularly taken with How to Move a Monster (which she has made me play on repeat overandoverandover) and Stink Bug, which makes her laugh every time. And we're both big fans of How Big Is Your World. Thing is, you can't be sad while listening to an Eric Herman CD. They're all these whimsical, engaging, often funny songs. I catch myself listening to his albums in the car even when my daughter isn't with me. It's upbeat music that's not cloying or oversimplified. More along the lines of the artists in the For The Kids CDs (Barenaked Ladies, They Might Be Giants, etc.). I have no idea how Eric isn't more famous yet. I know The Elephant Song is a YouTube phenomenon, but there is sooo much more of his music to love (and if ya ask me, the second version of that song-- with his own kids-- is even cooler). But I digress. Point is, buy this album. You're welcome. :)
