A Sweet Book,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: What Star Is This? (Hardcover)
What a nice surprise we found in this story. It is the perfect Christmas book. The star goes through the galaxy and ends up shining over baby Jesus. Our grandchildren, ages 5 and 3, wanted it read over and over again.

Is the star a comet?,

Do we know that the Christmas star was a comet? This book does have beautiful illustrations, but the whole premise is that the star is actually a comet. I've heard debate about what it was that the magi followed and feel uncomfortable reading this book as fact to my son.

When we were at the restaurant, my 6 yrs old son found it. He read this book 4 times and said "this is a great jesus book. I'm goig to buy for my school!". He just started to going to Catholic school. We do not practice Catholic at home but he is learning great deal of Jesus and this book seems to capture his interest and imagination so well. The picture is very beautiful and simple text gives space for Children's imagination.
