4.0 out of 5 stars Stunned, October 15, 2005
This review is from: I'm What There to Show That Something's Missing (Audio CD)
The song,'it wouldn't change a thing' is my favorite on the album and it has one of the best starts to a song of that electronic-computer-keyboard genre (I'm not sure what it is exactly called these days), especially when listening to it loudly. After I finished listening to the album for the first time, I asked myself "wait, what just happened?" I was kind of stunned. The music itself is stunning, and can cause musical trances. The first song, 'the long wait,' sets the tone for the rest of the album, and it stays consistently strong througout. It seems to be very minimalistic as well, but there's enough going on in each song to keep your attention. On the back of their cd they have a list of names they wanted to thank, and some of these names are Lali Puna, Dntel, and The Notwist. If you like these bands, you might want to check out Styrofoam. It's a good own.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good goings, October 11, 2008

3 1/2

Usually straddling the line between pretty and boring, one cannot fault the earnest experimental techno-pop from this one man show for offering something pleasantly off-beat for younger listeners.
