Detroit's Blanche marries the Gun Club's desperation to the Carter Family's melancholy and the creepy playfulness of Lee Hazelwood's "Cowboy In Sweden". The band features the married couple of Tracee Mae Miller (ex-Two Star Tabernacle) and Dan John Miller (ex-Goober And The Peas, Two Star Tabernacle) along with members of American Mars and The Racounteurs. An uneasy waterwheel of pedal steel guitar, banjo, injured guitar, and scant drumming swells and wanes. Dan Miller portrayed Johnny Cash's guitarist, Luther Perkins, in 2005's Cash biopic, "Walk The Line".

Even though this isn't the full length LP, it was worth getting. It's a great preview on what's to come. As always, Blanche puts out some great stuff.
