This review is from: What Time is This Place? (Paperback)
This (unique?) book looks into how humans perceive time, how our environment (especially cities) influences that perception, and how that environment can be modified to provide a better sense of time and place. Examples from around the world are used to illustrate Lynch's many thought-provoking ideas.
Although this is an academic text, it is very readable (even fun to read,) and mostly easily understood. |
