This book tells it like it is. Michelle writes very basic and down to earth. My 16 year old sister loved this book as much as I did. It came at the right time for her as she is in a relationship that is heading toward a sexual nature that she is not comfortable with. I have been there too. I am a Christian but have been putting my wants for a husband before God and got burned. I am 24 years old and had a very serious relationship for 3 years to a man that I should never have been involved with. This book helped me to see that and helped me to decide what to do with this relationship. It wasn't easy but life never is. I recommend this book to anyone is not happy in their singlehood or in a realtionship that they are not sure of. Please read all of Michelle's books. She makes it very plain how a single, Christian woman should be and how she should conduct her life so she that she will be truly happy.

I've had friends who've read her other books. I was happy in my singleness, finding my purpose and being busy in church. I was in a group and everyone seemed to believe I would be the first one in the group to remarry. I saw this book on the shelf and thought, "why not?" Excellent, excellent, excellent. The only thing I need to concern myself with is continuing to be about the father's business and fulfilling the purpose he created me for. In other words, redeeming the time. I don't have to look because "he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing." I have to let God be God and when he feels like its time and I'm where I need to be in him, he will work out the details. All I have to do is be who I need to be in him. Practical, insightful, comical are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think about the information she shares in this book. Be anxious for nothing my sisters in Christ!! If God has placed the desire inside of you for a mate, then regardless of how bleak the statistics might be, he has someone special set aside just for you. Wait and again I say wait. You can't afford to do anything else and be in the will of God.

I ordered this book sight unseen...based only on the customer comments that I read. That must have been the Lord's handiwork, because let me tell you...I read it cover to cover and, Michelle, you were writing directly to me!! Do you know that I actually read this book with a highlighter in my hand? I'm a 29 year old single female and I know how hard it is to feel uncoupled in a world of couples. Now, I see it as a blessing from God...He does have my match prepared for me. Thank you, Michelle, for helping me to prepare myself for His gift. Praise the Lord, and God Bless You! I wish I knew where to write you personally. I feel like you're one of my girlfriends!! Single females of the world...don't be a fool. Buy this book! What To Do Untill Love Finds You by Michelle McKinney Hammond is truly a book worth reading. If you are a single woman who has ever gotten the "why am I still single bug" this is the book for you. Michelle says that our primary question should be "why am I here" and not "why am I alone." Michelle does not beat around the bush. You honestly feel like you are sitting at the kitchen table with your best friend. She is funny and truthful. Her straightforward manor is a breath of fresh air. As a single woman herself, she knows of what she speaks. She shares her bumps and bruises with the hopes that God will use them for good in the lives of others.

Her ideas are Biblical based. The references send me running to my Bible. Michelle put words to every thing that I was feeling, but did not know how to express. Now, my heart truly has a voice. The only problem is that it won't shut up! This book is encouraging and extremely practical. Good for a dateless night! Just Kidding!

This book truly spoke to my heart and the needs in my life. It wasn't too long ago that I experienced a broken engagement. The young man went on to marry someone else. I was left with a lot of questions and misgivings. Ms. Hammond's words spoke straight to the need in my life. Her examples, poems, and scenarios were so real to me. It was as if she knew me and my situation. It was obivious to me that God spoke to her. The elements of this book were definitely inspired by the Lord. I thank God for Michelle McKinney Hammond, and the wisdom God has given to her.

I stumbled across this book at a time when I really needed a friend to talk to who would understand my struggles with living single and living a christian life. Reading her book was like talking to my best friend who knew all my innermost secrets. Ms. Hammond's godly wisdom is awesome! I am finding peace and joy living single and sold out for Christ! And when I find myself struggling and becoming impatient, I pick up the book and read it again! Her biblically based advice and the study guides for each chapter have helped me to learn to value myself and see myself the way God sees and values me. I will continue to read God's word and everything Michelle McKinney Hammond writes! I encourage all women, single and married, to read this book!

I wish that I had read this book years ago! More than anything this book has taught me that God is the great orchestrator in my life and He will present me with the mate that He has ordained for me since the beginnning of time. There is no need to worry, search or be anxious because it will happen. Ms McKinney-Hammond shared that if we let go and let God everything will work out according to His will. More than anything this book has given me a peace about being single. It's a must have.

When I got this book I thought it would only pertain to those women 18-25, and was I ever wrong! If anything, this book addresses the needs of those women who have been in relationships which have failed and want sound, Godly, thought-provoking insight. Michelle McKinney Hammond provides just that.

Ms. Hammon speaks to her reader as though she were speaking to her best friend. I looked forward to reading another chapter each evening, because it was like talking to a friend giving me her advice, not just on relationships, but on my relationship with God and getting my own life in order.

I found the study guide in the back of the book for each chapter reinforced what I had just learned, and gave me a lot of food for thought as well as reinforcing what I had learned, even days later. The study guide is developed so there really aren't any "pat" answers. The questions truly cause the reader to think things out, and Ms. Hammond insists that the reader search through the Bible to obtain certain answers.

Michelle McKinney Hammond DOES NOT come across as an "I know it all, I've done it all". She shares honestly her experiences, and she makes you want to open up about yours. This opening up, even if it is to God, brings about incredible healing for those of us with past relationship hurts. I would recommend this book highly, and I can't wait to start the next book, "The Secrets of an Irresistable Woman"!

The funny and amazing thing is this was the last book I read right before I met my husband. I was caught up in an emotionally draining relationship with an unGodly man and was very unhappy. However, no matter how hard I tried to get out I just couldn't. It was an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. To be honest I didn't think I would ever get the courage to leave him because like so many women I was afraid to be alone and to get back out there into what I thought was the empty, lonely single world.

I bought this book in hopes that it would both inspire and motivate me to make better choices in regards to my heart, spirit and my body. Little more than half way through this book I was totally-fully convicted and with deep prayer I finally broke up with my boyfriend. I told him I wanted to live my life for God and in order to do that I needed to be alone for a while. This unGodly man did not take it well at all, he cursed me out and told me I was just making excuses because he couldn't see how dating him had any effect on my relationship with GOD.

During this brief time alone I stayed in prayer and for whatever reason I was moved in my spirit to ask for a husband. Now believe me, I had just gotten out of a relationship and the last thing I wanted (honestly) was another man around. I just told God that I was ready to do whatever he wanted me to do. I was ready to be alone for as long as God saw fit, but if it was his will for me to have a partner I asked in Jesus name to let it be. Well the God we serve is a truly mysterious God because about two months after breaking it off with my ex my good friend introduced me to her cute cousin and we hit it off instantly. To make a long story short we are now married and God is at the center of our relationship. The thing is I prayed with a honest heart every step of the way. I asked God on several occassions to let me know if this new man was right for me and each and every time I got my answer in some form or fashion. I'm 24 years old and never once did I expect to be blessed with such a wonderful man at this point in my life, but God will give you what is for you when he decides you need it. One thing in this book that always stayed with me was a portion when she says God will send you a husband when he sees you will be able to fufill his purposes better as a wife than as a single. For me I guess God saw that I could live out his will for my life better with a mate.

I have never been so positively inspired by any other book in my life! Michelle McKinney-Hammond hits the nail on the head when she references the Bible and how God wants us all to be happy and full of joy, peace, and love. She stresses how important it is to be "ready"-spiritually, mentally, and financially- when God sends your husband to you. This is my new guide on how to be patient and how to prepare myself for the love of my life. I thank you Michelle. Please keep sharing the Word and your faith..it means so much to so many!
