Wow! What a book! I have to admit that I wasn't a huge fan of Who What Wear and didn't expect much from the duo's second book. But being a fashion and style addict, I had to check it out anyway. And I have to say that I was genuinely impressed! When I first heard that Hillary and Katherine were working on their second book, which would be showing what the duo would personally wear for all these different occasions, I was hoping that they would be the ones in all the pictures. So, of course, I was glad to see that that's exactly what they did! This book covers many occasions that are not described in most style guides (for example, what to wear in cold weather, to a dog park, to a barbecue, etc.). For each occasion, Hillary and Katherine describe the style rules and show what they would personally wear as well as provide more ideas to inspire the reader to go to her closet and come up with great outfits on her own. There's plenty of eye candy, too! All outfits shown are super cute and look very well put-together. If you're looking for a style guide that not only shows what the authors would wear, but provides a great deal of inspiration at the same time, then this is the books for you!

Nice little book that offers not only an advice on appropriate attire for any occasion, but also beautiful photographs with two sample outfits for each. The occasions range from bowling with friends, or a night out with the girls, to black-tie events, meeting your beau's parents and going to an art gallery. I found it entertaining and useful at the same time. A lot of beautiful photos too.

I often thought the world needed a book like that, especially after going to an early afternoon summer wedding this past summer, and being astonished at the parade of rather formal dark navy dresses completely unsuitable for such an event, not to mention uncomfortable and impractical. So yes, the world needed a book like this to help people not to be either underdressed or overdressed for various events.

In addition to extensive list of events, in the back of the book there are two lists of wardrobe essentials for each of the two models from the book - Katherine and Hillary and an index for every single article of clothing from the photos along with a designer name which a found very helpful since I liked a couple of things and wanted to know where I could purchase them.

Think this one is going to be handy, it's a lot like reading the tip section of a fashion magazine, something to get you in the right line of thought when looking for something to wear... Totally doable looks, not _everything_ may fit your specific taste, but it's very representative for What, Wear, Where. What I specifically like about this book is that it is self explanatory, and just like in a magazine, you can choose whether to only read the titles, subtitles, bullet-points or the whole "article".

Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power, co-founders of WHOWHATWEAR.com, a celebrity - and fashion-following website, have expanded their reach with What to Wear, Where This guide covers occasions ranging in significance from first interviews to a 5-year-old nephew's birthday party. It may seem overzealous to worry about what to wear to a 5-year-old's birthday, but these women offer sensible arguments for paying attention to one's clothes ALL THE TIME. The authors are their own "mannequins" in their examples, which makes this book far less intimidating than a book filled with images of runway models. And, refreshingly, they don't toss around designer references like confetti. It does not examine topics such as how to choose a cut for your body type or decide which colors are right for your skin tone. But after reading this work, some women may have a better chance of filling their closets wisely, thus avoiding clutter.

This book is well laid out by occasion and includes photos in addition to advice on what to wear. It doesn't focus on trendiness, but instead on appropriateness, with tips on throwing in a stylish element! The two authors are both photographed in, and highlight, their choice of a sample outfit for each occasion. Examples include weddings (day, night, black tie), travel, work, opera, girl's night out, first date and meeting the parents.
