I just finished using Lisa Bergren and Rebecca Price's What Women Want for a Bible study for the women at my church. We had 45 women in our study and everyone enjoyed every minute of this book! The book begins by establishing that we are all "phenomenal creations of God," and this was quite eye opening for many of our women. Several of them had a hard time saying that aloud, but by the end of the study, they were all ready to shout it out! This study brought our women closer to one another and closer to God. It covers everything from our relationship to the Father to body image and relationships. There is something for every woman in your church body! If you're looking for your next women's study, look no further. I promise that your group will love this book!

Lisa Bergrenan and Rebecca Price rely heavily on quotes from real women who are willing to share their experiences. As women, few of us feel we measure up to what we should be. Perhaps it's the artificial standard set by the entertainment business that makes us feel this way, but the attitude seems to be universal. We don't think we're good enough, smart enough, compassionate enough. We want to be more, do more. In many instances, we carry scars from being hurt, and life keeps throwing new problems our way. What Women Want offers indepth Bible discussions that will lead the reader to a closer walk with God who knows and understands our deepest needs. Every bookstore has a shelf of self-help books, most of them contrary to God's Word. Bergren and Price have written a book for Christian women hoping to find answers to their problems from a biblical point of view. Recommended.

I've only read a few chapters of this book so far....I am really trying to give it a fair chance, but every time I start reading this book my eyes get heavy. I will say though that I do enjoy the Pit Thoughts Versus His Thoughts sections. I just finished one of Joel Osteen's books prior to reading this one, which was so inspiring I couldn't put the book down! I am going to try to read a few more chapters of this book before making a decision whether or not to keep on reading. But so far I'm bored.
