Great book for young girls,
By
This review is from: What Would You Do? (American Girl) (Paperback)
My daughter (11) has just about worn the cover off the book. A child does not have to have American Girl dolls to benefit from this book. It is written to teach them about being a girl. The advice is sound, and it is well written. I am pleased that she has gotten so much use out of the book. She often talks to us about topics in the book, and it is good that it enables the communication process to happen.

A great reinforcement for young girls,

My 10 year old neice couldn't put this book down. It allows girls to read about common problems and solutions before they actually happen. Good food for thought for girls between the ages of 9 and 12.

Another American Girl hit,

This review is from: What Would You Do? (American Girl) (Paperback)
My ten-year-old daughter enjoyed this book and finished the quizzes in one evening. The book covers different scenarios, such as school, home, friends, etc. and gives a dilemma with three multiple choice answers to choose from on how you would solve the dilemma. Then you add up the answers and it gives you a mini personality profile. I actually found out a few things about my daughter by reading the responses she chose.

A Great Book for Kids,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: What Would You Do? (American Girl) (Paperback)
The book called What Would You Do? is a great book for kids aged 8 to 11 because it helps people to have a better life. For example, if you have a sister or a brother and you do not want them to come into your room you can look at the book What Would You Do? and get good advice. On the first page the book says to make a rule for your sister or brother. If your rule says your siblings have to pay five cents when they enter your room, that will solve the problem. That's why I say you should read this book.

My Step Daughter Loved it!!!,
By
This review is from: What Would You Do? (American Girl) (Paperback)
I got this book for my 12 years old step daughter and she loved it...I noticed its hard for her to communicate with us and being that our marriage is new to her and the possibility of having a little brother and sister someday is making her worried that she will no longer be the only child, a book about different scenarios on expressing feelings seemed perfect...She took a few quizzes and before we knew it she was sitting down with us to read a few and discuss why she would choose to feel that way...THANKS AMERICAN GIRL this book is great!!!

Cute, creative decision making tool!,

This review is from: What Would You Do? (American Girl) (Paperback)
This is another of American Girl's valuable series of books to help our daughters get through the trials and tribulations of growing up with a little more fun along the way.Cute illustrations underscore family matters, decision making and other issues that young readers face every day. The world is changing every day, and challenges can become comples even for tweens. No matter what those issues might be, this book is a good start to making good choices and a gateway to family discussion. What Would You Do? is bound to become a favorite in your family library, and I highly recommend it.

Add this to your young lady's library today! This book is great to read together and fosters disussing best ways to handle situations that occur in the teen life. There are always more than one road to get to the castle...so help your daughter see options in choosing the right road for her in what could be major problems.

Not enough discussion included,

This review is from: What Would You Do? (American Girl) (Paperback)
This was a great concept for a book, but I don't think it lived up to its potential. My daughter (age 9) skimmed through it in just a few minutes and didn't really want to "take" the quizzes. I think a bit more discussion around the "situations" would have been helpful to guide her reading.

My daughter loves this book. All of the American Girl books have been so helpful for her during such a difficult time during these formative years.
