5.0 out of 5 stars Very Funny!
This book is original and funny! You can read it in order or choose topics that interest you- I especially liked the part about how to deal with Dog Poop on your shoe. It is a great gift book- for a grad or for father's day. I got the book because I am a big NPR fan and was surprised how much fun it was to read!

3.0 out of 5 stars Review: What Would Rob Do? by Rob Sachs
When life takes on a life of its own and hands you poo instead of sunshine and rainbows, it's time to grab Rob Sachs book What Would Rob Do?

Rob does what all of us would like to do and checks with people who know what to do when life gets sticky. Rob takes the time to get in touch with everyone you will ever need to get the bad stuff under your fingernails...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff, August 9, 2010
This review is from: What Would Rob Do: An Irreverent Guide to Surviving Life's Daily Indignities (Paperback)
When life takes on a life of its own and hands you poo instead of sunshine and rainbows, it's time to grab Rob Sachs book What Would Rob Do? Rob does what all of us would like to do and checks with people who know what to do when life gets sticky. Rob takes the time to get in touch with everyone you will ever need to get the bad stuff under your fingernails so to speak. If you are looking for a book that succeeds in giving you short, concise, insightful, funny, mouth covering, laugh-so-hard-your-sides-hurt information, then What Would Rob Do? is for you! My only complaint is that Rob is no longer on NPR, just when I got the book and was excited to hear more. But don't be like me, if you want more What Would Rob Do? information, then read it!

I've been listening to the What Would Rob Do podcast for quite a while and love the book. Quite a lot of good advice but also plenty of Rob Sachs' trademark humor.. I read almost the whole "flatulence" chapter out loud to my fiance, which had us both laughing out loud. 5 stars!

As a fellow "Rob" I often found the author's writings eerily similar to my particular perspective on life's day to day quandaries. Is there something in the name that affects one's direction in life? Eh... probably not.
Bur really, the author's blend of serious reflection but infused with generous helpings of humor made for very enjoyable, yet edifying reading. Coupled with "Deep Thoughts" by Jack Handy reflections, one can really be the life of the party during summer gatherings.
