Amazing..debut song...what you've got is a slammin track....
His name is Richard Abidin Breen but he goes by Abs Breen but mostly ABS. He's from Europe..london to be exact. He was part of the phemenonally successful group FIVE "5ive".."but don't let that sway your judgement his new sound will surprise you".. racking up hits in europe as well as in america with " when the lights go out", "it's the things you do","slam dunk da funk" with three hit albums and numerous of awards under their belt FIVE looked like they were on top of the world and they were..but then stunned fans found out on live television in 2001 FIVE decided to call it a day and spilt up...they still are close but they were just tired and wanted a break. To focus on solo projects and their personal lives..but out of the ashes of the bands spilt up in 2002 the person that was least likely to strike on his own did Abs decided to make a solo album with support from his ex bandmates and his fans and an unlikely person Simon Cowell you heard it right american idols sinister judge was supporting Abs and alot of top producers and writers after hearing some tracks he laid down for a demo began rushing to work with abs... So with his new confidence abs went into the studio in 2002 and started writing and laying down tracks for his debut solo album than in August of 2002 Abs hit the air ways in Europe with the this single "What you got" (which he also wrote).... as soon as it debuted it shot to the top and became abs first hit single as a solo artist. The song and songs on his upcoming album rasied a few eyebrows but he impressed the industry. He is about to release another hit Stop Sign on may 24th from his upcoming debut solo album "ABSTRACT THEORY" I hope that ABS album will hit the american market real soon.
the song what you got has a R&B..Hip Hop..Reaggae sound and it's a great song..it's a hit....

This song is about him going to his girl but he meets an real fine lady.....
I think the beat is really cool evrything is cool! the melody the rap the lyricks. the second on the single is also pretty cool nice r&B song its very good and the enchaneg section (drools) its cool!

Lyrics are pretty original compared with other pop songs. The beat is really good to dance.
Abs is brilliant at reggae. This debut solo single is a great start .

what you got, the single who release ABS (five) as a solo artist, shows that a new star has been born...
the song is full of music mix like rap, regaee and pop and creates a new sound that i'm sure everybody will love it!
after you listen this single CD, you'll can't wait to have the album of this young, british new artist...well he just to be in the band FIVE but who now shows his real side.
