5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book
This is a very good book for learning how to make dough for bread, pizza, pastries, etc. There are pictures in the books which are very helpful. The book arrived quickly, in excellent condition with a plastic cover on the book jacket.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for me
I love watching Mary Ann Esposito on her cooking shows. Recently, I saw her making the double foccacia pizza, and thought it would be tasty. I love watching Mary Ann Esposito on her cooking shows. Recently, I saw her making the double foccacia pizza, and thought it would be tasty. So when I went to the library I was happy to see that they had the book, and took it out. For me this is a good way to test drive instructional books, and see if they are worth buying.

This book is divided into three sections. You have recipes using a basic pizza dough, a sour dough, and a sweet dough.

So, I made the recipe for the double foccacia pizza. I followed the instructions carefully for a Kitchen Aid Mixer, using the flour she suggested and weighing it. I wasn't able to make two 16" rounds with half of the dough. The pizza came out very crusty almost like a cracker. My family didn't particular like the taste. The stuffing was fine though, but you have to like the taste of vinegary foods. With the other half of the dough, I made a basic pizza, it was just o.k.

I've had great success with other recipes like The Frugal Gourmet's Chicago style pizza, and from the book "Classic Italian Cooking" for vegetarians.

I didn't want to take the time to make any more recipes to see if they would work. Perhaps, you will have better success!
