Getting Past the Superficial
This book explains the psychological games people play that keep them "safe" but also from experiencing a much richer life and intimacy. Check out this book and move beyond the superficial exchanges like - "Hi, how are you?/Fine, how about you?"

Good resource, a little challenging to read
I'm in the process of reading this book now and although I agree with much of what the author says, it's difficult to get through. I'm having a difficult time following along because, in my opinion, the flow is off. It reads much like a textbook (college students will know what I mean here). I was expecting a simplier layout and I'm having to go back and forth to make...

Good resource, a little challenging to read,

I'm in the process of reading this book now and although I agree with much of what the author says, it's difficult to get through. I'm having a difficult time following along because, in my opinion, the flow is off. It reads much like a textbook (college students will know what I mean here). I was expecting a simplier layout and I'm having to go back and forth to make connections. I'm going to keep reading because I believe these transactions can cause difficulties in one's life and it's important to learn how "not" to play the games. IF you purchase, be ready to feel like you are back in school.
