Editorial Reviews

Review

“Kaeser pulls no punches in his honest approach to the birds and the bees. Parents who put his advice within the context of his primary message--the three most important sex words in this book are loverespect, and trust--will have no doubt that Kaeser is deeply committed to children and their health.”
—Library Journal, STARRED REVIEW

“Dr. Kaeser’s writing style is clear, informative, and wonderfully personal--if you are one of the great majority of parents who is anxious about discussing your child’s sexual development and their questions about sex, then this book must be read.”
—RONALD MOGLIA, Ed.D., New York University

I am a mother of 2 children and I am so glad I read this book! A very simple message that in practice not only empowers children to make better choices but also helps them ask the important questions and encourages parents to start the conversation! ( and at a much early age then most of us would think.) I admit my 10 year old was uncomfortable to talk about sex with me in the beginning but now it is both comfortable and real!!! She is even reading it now and we have a little Q and A before bedtime. I am blown away by the misinformation she had already received from the media and her peers and so grateful that I now have the tools to open up this dialogue with her and her 5 year old brother. These are different conversations of course but being an approachable parent is helping them feel comfortable talking to me about these issues and I can then have the greatest influence over them and provide accurate information that reflexes our families values.
So Thank You Dr. Fred for sharing your wealth of experience and advice and for helping parents feel empowered to start this conversation with their children.
Megan

This book helps parents start the sex and body conversation at a much younger age. I have recommended it to many parents with young children.

This book was full of insights and value based views pertaining to sex and how to relate to our children. I love that it bases sexual intimacy within the context of Love, Trust, and Respect! Great read! Gave it to friends and family with kids...
